PRINCETON - The George Washington women's water polo team concluded the Princeton Invitational with a 14-3 loss to Iona on Sunday afternoon at DeNunzio Pool.

Senior Allison Littlejohn scored two goals and senior Erin Dickson tallied one. Senior Rachael Bentley drew three ejections, and sophomore goalkeeper Caterina Sesana had six saves in her season debut.

Two-time defending MAAC champion Iona led 7-0 at halftime. The Colonials (2-2) matched the Gaels, 3-3, in the fourth quarter, but fell 14-3.

"Iona didn't give us any easy opportunities at all," said head coach Scott Reed. "It was a grind throughout and we just couldn't get things rolling."

The Colonials return to action next weekend at the Bucknell Invitational, where they will face Wagner, No. 19 Hartwick, Marist and No. 6 UC San Diego Feb. 14-16.
