LEWISBURG, Pa. - Playing its third ranked opponent of the weekend, the George Washington women's water polo team dropped its final game of the Bucknell Invitational, falling to No. 13 UC San Diego, 14-7, on Sunday morning at Kinney Natatorium.

The Tritons led 3-1 after one quarter but outscored the Colonials 6-2 in the second to take a 9-3 halftime lead. Senior Allison Littlejohn scored the first goal of the third period before UCSD rattled off four in a row to open a game-high 13-4 advantage with 6:49 to go in the fourth. GW (2-6) tallied three of the final four goals of the game but it was not enough to overcome its deficit.

Littlejohn and sophomore Caroline Sandri each scored two goals to lead the Colonials, and Littlejohn added a pair of field blocks. Senior Katherine Berry recorded four steals to go with one goal, and senior Erin Dickson and freshman Allyson Bakos also scored once apiece. The Colonials return to action next weekend at the CWPA/MAAC Crossover in Cambridge, Mass., where they will take on Iona, Villanova, Siena and Wagner Feb. 22-23.
