LEWISBURG, PA - The GW water polo team posted a 2-2 record at the Bucknell Invitational Saturday and Sunday in Lewisburg, PA. The Colonials played without leading scorer Kira Canon (Easthampton, MA/Williston) who suffered a broken finger at the Princeton Invitational.

"Vanessa Fravel (Coral Gables, FL/Gulliver Prep) stepped up for us," GW coach Scott Reed said. "She played well as did Morgan Hooker (Woodland Hills, CA/Harvard Westlake) ." Canon is expected back in action for the Villanova match this Friday at Smith Center.

The game against Harvard was a defensive battle. Both teams had their chances to run away with the game but were unable to convert on easy scoring opportunities. Harvard's go ahead goal came in the third period on a power play.
