Women's Water Polo Breezes at Grove City College Invite

GROVE CITY, PA - The George Washington women's water polo team dominated the competition and posted a 4-0 record Friday and Saturday at the Grove City College Invitational in Grove City, PA. GW's closest match came Friday when the Colonials defeated Gannon, 6-3, before posting commanding victories over Slippery Rock (17-4), Penn State-Behrend (18-2) and Washington & Jefferson College (16-1) on Saturday. GW freshman Morgan Hooker (Woodland Hills, CA/Harvard Westlake) paced the Colonials' attack with 12 goals on the weekend. Against Gannon, Friday, GW controlled the game throughout despite a poor shooting night. The Colonials shot just 24 percent for the game but were able to hold Gannon to only three goals.

Next up for the Colonials will be Senior Night when GW hosts Maryland on Wednesday, Mar. 24 at 7:00 p.m. at the Smith Center pool.
