WASHINGTON - George Washington women’s water polo hit the water Tuesday evening for its first official practice of the 2018 season.

The Colonials are gearing up for their first season under head coach Barry King. They head into the spring with a roster featuring a solid mix of experienced veterans and talented newcomers.

The senior class is highlighted by Scarlett Hallahan and Jacqueline Bywater, who enter their final season in Foggy Bottom ranked No. 1 and No. 2, respectively, on the program’s all-time goals list. GW has also added six freshmen, several of whom are expected to contribute right away.

King and the Colonials have a little more than three weeks to get ready before they open the season Feb. 10 at the Bucknell Invitational. Their first and only home appearance of the season comes Feb. 24 when they host Princeton and Villanova.
