Peotter Earns Second Player of the Week Honor of Season

BRIDGEPORT, PA - Junior attack Allison Peotter claimed her second CWPA Southern Division Player of the Week award of the season and fourth of her career Tuesday after leading the George Washington women's water polo team with 10 points in three games last week. Peotter totaled five goals and five assists, and added seven steals and nine swim-offs won in three games for GW last week. She played her best against a pair of nationally ranked opponents, going for five points (2g/3a) in a 10-7 loss to No. 20 Maryland on Friday, then four points (3g/1a) and three steals in a 10-8 loss to No. 14 Hartwick on Saturday. Peotter, who was most recently named the South's Player of the Week on Feb. 22, leads the Colonials with 14 goals, 16 assists, 20 steals and 31 swim-offs through nine games. She is currently the program's career leader in swim-offs won (154) and is fifth all-time at GW in assists (84) and steals (150) through 60 games played. GW (2-7, 0-1 CWPA Southern Division) returns to action with five games in California over five days during Spring Break March 15-20. The Colonials open with games against Cal State Monterey Bay and Sonoma State in Rohnert Park, CA, March 15.
