Noonan Sets Two Personal Records at Fred Hardy Invitational

April 1, 2008

RICHMOND, VA - Despite competing in sub par running conditions, junior Audrey Noonan set two personal records (PR), as select members of The George Washington University women's cross country team hit the track in the Fred Hardy Invitational, hosted by the University of Richmond last weekend.

Noonan, despite coming off an injury sustained after the cross country season, set a PR in the 1,500 meters, by finishing seventh in 4:47.22. The native of Barrington, RI also set a new personal mark in the 3,000 meters, finishing second in 10:12.13.

Also competing for the women were freshman Jessica Stern (7th in the 3,000 meters), freshman Phillipa Spencer (21st in the 400 meters), sophomore Madelyn Healy (22nd in the 400 meters), sophomore Kelly Wills (20th in the 800 meters) and freshman Estelle Faulkner (27th in the 1,500 meters).

Members of the women's cross country teams will compete again on the track this Friday, April 4, at the Duke Invitational in Durham, NC.
