Colonials each run to fifth place finishes in Annapolis

ANNAPOLIS, MD - Seniors Megan Hogan and Dan Cartica led the Colonials in the Navy and Salty Dog Invites Saturday as both squads had fifth place finishes in Annapolis, MD. Hogan and junior Jessica Stern had impressive 17th and 18th place finishes for the Colonials as they had times of 23:37 and 23:38 respectively.

On the men's side, Cartica finished 22nd overall with a time of 26:00.20 in the 8K run and junior Zach Borenstein was the next Colonial to cross the finish line in 29th place with a time of 26:29.80. Junior Andrew Zahornacky also finished strong for the Colonials with a 34th place finish in a time of 26:38.20.

Freshmen Julia Weir, Juliana Stern and Heather Stevens were the next three Colonials on the women's side to finish in 36th, 40th and 41st place with times of 24:20, 24:34 and 24:36.

George Washington will continue their season in three weeks at the Paul Short Invitational in Lehigh, PA. Both races are scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m.
