PRINCETON, NJ- Sophomore Julia Weir finished in fifth-place in the third section of the 5000 meters at the Larry Ellis Invitational at Princeton University on April 22.

The Florham Park, NJ native finished in 17:48.31, becoming the fifth GW female in the last five years to break the 18 minute mark. She topped her previous personal best of 18:16 which she set two weeks ago at the Duke Invitational.

Weir has had a strong spring season, finishing in 10th out of 41 in the 1500 meters at the Fred Hardy Invitational on March 25 and setting consecutive personal bests in the 5000 meters.
