Megan Hogan Named Team MVP for 2008-09

May 19, 2009

WASHINGTON, DC - Megan Hogan was named the women's cross country team MVP at George Washington University's annual Senior Honors Luncheon on the GW campus Monday.

Megan enjoyed a standout season, her first at GW, by becoming the first Colonials runner to qualify for the NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships. She improved her time in every race, highlighted by a runner-up finish at the Atlantic 10 Championships and 19th place showing at Mid-Atlantic Regionals, both of which either set or tied program-best finishes at the events.

She continued her strong running this spring capturing the 10,000-meter event at the prestigious Penn Relays, finishing less than a second shy of qualifying for the US Track & Field National Championships.
