Graduate student Angela Ryck finished in first place overall out of 53 runners to lead GW to a second-place finish at the Catholic Invitational. The win marked the first in the collegiate career for Ryck, who transferred to GW following a four-year career at Notre Dame. The Fairport, N.Y., native finished the 6,000-meter course in 23:06.00, roughly six seconds ahead of the field.

Her first-place finish also stands as the first time a GW women's harrier has won a race since Megan Hogan '11 won her second consecutive Atlantic 10 Championship in October 2010.
