GW Women's Track Posts Six PRs at Terrapin Invitational

LANDOVER, Md. - The George Washington women's indoor track team totaled six personal records across four events on Saturday at the Terrapin Invitational at the Prince George's Sports and Learning Complex.

Sophomore Miranda DiBiasio posted GW's top performance of the day when she finished in fourth place out of 16 competitors in the 5,000-meter run. DiBiasio posted a new indoor personal-best time of 17:55.28 as the only Colonial in the field.

A trio of Colonials posted new PRs in the mile as four GW student-athletes placed amongst the top 15. Freshman Madison Yerke was the top performer, finishing in 5:23.05 for 10th place overall out of 34 competitors. Senior Caroline Wolfe, in her indoor mile debut, placed 11th in 5:23.42. Junior Ariana North set a new PR by taking 13th place in 5:25.18 and freshman Halley Brown followed in 14th place with a 5:27.47 PR. Freshman Lesley Fatica (5:44.05, 23rd) also posted a new personal record at the distance.

As a team, the Colonials finished in 14th place out of 17 teams.

GW next competes at the two-day Armory Invitational in New York, New York, next weekend.
