GW Women's Track Sets New Record, Three PRs at Armory Invite

Senior Caroline Wolfe was one of four Colonials to post a new personal record at this weekend's Armory Track Invitational.

NEW YORK - Freshman Taryn Millbourne bested her own school record in the 200-meter dash and three of her teammates also posted new personal records as the George Washington women's indoor track team concluded competition at this weekend's Armory Track Invitational in New York City.

Millbourne ran the 200m in 27.34. She topped her previous school record, set at the CNU Holiday Open in December, by one-tenth of a second.

In the 3000-meter run, sophomore Miranda DiBiasio led the Colonials with a 27th-place finish in a new personal-record time of 10:12.07. She topped her previous best by 11 seconds.

Junior Ariana North, also competing in the 3000m, put up a new PR of 10:35.53, a six-second improvement.

Senior Caroline Wolfe added a new personal record in the mile run. She finished in 5:23.38, a new record by less than one second.

GW will be idle next weekend as it prepares for the upcoming Atlantic 10 Championships, Feb. 20-21, in Kingston, Rhode Island.
