FAIRFAX, Va. - Sophomore Halley Brown became the George Washington women's indoor track team's second conference champion of the weekend when she won the mile in a new program-record time on Sunday on the final day of the Atlantic 10 Championships at the George Mason Field House.

Brown bested her own program-record in the mile with a gold-medal time of 4:53.02 to become the second GW student-athlete to earn a conference championship this weekend, joining teammate Miranda DiBiasio who won the 5000-meter run on Saturday evening.

Freshman Suzanne Dannheim also competed in the mile, placing 13th in a new personal-best time of 5:08.50.

DiBiasio competed again on Sunday, earning All-Conference honors by placing sixth overall in the 3000-meter run in a new personal-best time of 10:03.87. Sunday's performance marks the third career Indoor Track All-Conference recognition of DiBiasio's career.

The Colonials now turn their attention to the Outdoor Track season, which opens on March 24 at the Raleigh Relays in Raleigh, North Carolina.
