DiBiasio Earns All-Conference on Day 1 of A-10 Championship

NEWPORT, R.I. - Sophomore Miranda DiBiasio earned the first Indoor Track All-Conference honor of her career with a fourth-place finish in the 5,000-meter run on day one of the Atlantic 10 Championship on Saturday at Mackal Field House.

DiBiasio set a new personal record by finishing in 17:23.08, shattering her previous mark by 32 seconds, to take fourth place out of 29 competitors.

Freshman Taryn Milbourne broke her own program record in the 200-meter dash, finishing in 27.20 (22nd overall), knocking 0.14 seconds off the previous mark.

Freshman Abby Llanos finished in 16th place overall in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:20.87.

The women's team is currently in 10th place after the first day of competition.

On the men's side, the quartet of Ryan DePinto, Sawyer Bilton, Chris Shaffer and Ryan Tucker combined to set a new program record in the distance medley relay with a time of 10:19.30, taking seventh place out of nine teams. The performance was a 28-second improvement on the old record.

The men's team sits in ninth place entering Sunday.

Both teams will return to action on day two of the A-10 Championships on Sunday. A full race schedule can be found at Atlantic 10 Championship Central.
