WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The George Washington women's outdoor track team set two new personal records as part of a strong weekend at the Colonial Relays at Walter J. Zabel Stadium.

Sophomore Miranda DiBiasio finished second in her heat and 16th overall in the 5,000-meter run with a new personal record of 17:16.83. She shaved 14 seconds off the previous mark (17:39.94).

Junior Ariana North tied her personal record and GW program record in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 11:14.33. North is a 2015 Atlantic 10 All-Conference selection in the event and tied her own school record from last spring's A-10 championship meet.

Freshman Brigid Prial set a new PR in the 3000m when she finished in 10:43.74, a 17-second improvement on her previous best.

GW also competed in the Distance Medley Relay for the first time at an outdoor meet. The quartet of Caroline Wolfe, Kirsten Nottingham, Ariana North and Halley Brown finished in 12:37.19. The time is 22 seconds better than the Colonials' indoor program record.

GW will return to action at next weekend's George Mason Invitational in Fairfax, Virginia.
