Women's Track Runs at Mason Spring Invite

FAIRFAX, Va. - The George Washington women's track team wrapped competition at Saturday's Mason Spring Invitational with five new personal records across two events.

The majority of GW's new personal bests came in the 1,500-meter run, with four of the five competitors notching new records.

Junior Halley Brown was GW's top finisher in the event as she placed eighth overall out of 66 competitors in 4:31.70. Sophomore Madison Yerke (4:35.58), junior Lauren t'Kint de Roodenbeke (4:37.69), freshman Suzanne Dannheim (4:43.34) and sophomore Lesley Fatica (4:49.67) all followed with personal bests.

In the 800-meter run, sophomore Lauren Anderson finished in 2:25.51 for a new personal record while junior Malone Gabor (2:25.96) and senior Kirsten Zeller (2:32.07) also competed.

Senior Ariana North rounded out GW's competitors for the day with a top-five finish in the 3,000-meter steeplechase. North placed fourth overall in 11:18.62.

GW will be back in action at next Saturday's Morgan State Legacy in Baltimore, Maryland.
