GW Women's Track Runs at Mason Spring Invitational

FAIRFAX, Va. - The George Washington women's outdoor track team competed on Saturday afternoon at the Mason Spring Invitational at George Mason Stadium.

Junior Kirsten Nottingham set a new personal record in the 400-meter run after registering a time of 1:02.68. She improved on her previous best by three-tenths of a second.

Sophomore Miranda DiBiasio led a trio of Colonials in the 1,500-meter run. DiBiasio turned in the top performance in 5:03.17 to pace a pair of teammates in junior Kirsten Zeller (5:09.07) and senior Katie Bishop (5:17.81).

A quartet of Colonials made their outdoor track debuts in the 5,000-meter run. Junior Macaulay Porter paced a trio of Colonials in the top ten after finishing in 18:24.47 for eighth place out of 33 competitors. Freshman Halley Brown followed in 18:26.66 for ninth place and freshman Kelli Stetson finished in 18:27.14 for 10th place. Freshman Brigid Prial also competed, placing 12th in 18:31.81.

Junior Ariana North competed in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, an event she earned Atlantic 10 All-Conference honors for last spring, and placed fourth out of 10 competitors in 11:24.56.



The Colonials are scheduled to run at the Morgan State/Loyola Invitational on April 16 in Baltimore, Maryland.
