Women's Track Runs at Two Meets Over Weekend

BALTIMORE - Eight George Washington women's track student-athletes were in action at two meets in the penultimate weekend of the regular season.

GW got started on Friday night at the Larry Ellis Invitational in Princeton, New Jersey.

All three of the Colonials' competitors in the 5,000-meter run posted new personal records in the event. Senior Macualay Porter led GW with a 14th-place finish in 17:13.16, followed by sophomore Madison Yerke (17:36.37, 34th) and freshman Suzanne Dannheim (17:42.66, 41st).

Senior Ariana North was also in action in Princeton, running the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 11:21.16.

GW concluded the weekend with a trio of competitors in the 1,500-meter run at the Morgan State Legacy.

All three student-athletes finished in the top-25 with sophomore Lauren Anderson leading the way with a 10th-place finish in 4:46.86. Sophomore Malone Gabor followed in 17th place in a new personal-record time of 5:05.29. Senior Kirsten Zeller placed 23rd in 5:13.23.

Select runners will compete at next weekend's Penn Relays at Franklin Field in Philadelphia, Pa.
