Women's Cross Country Finishes 15th at NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional
Colonials tie best-ever team performance; DiBiasio posts fifth top finish of season
STATE COLLEGE, Pa. - The George Washington women's cross country team tied its best-ever team performance by finishing in 15th place out of 28 teams at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional on Friday at the Blue and White Golf Courses.
GW also finished in 15th place at the 1995 Mid-Atlantic Regional.
Junior Miranda DiBiasio notched her team-leading fifth top finish of the season on Friday by running the 6,000-meter course in 21:27 to place 29th overall out of 192 competitors.
Senior Macaulay Porter followed up her Atlantic 10 All-Conference performance from last month with a 79th-place finish. She ran the course in 22:17, her best time in four career appearances at the Mid-Atlantic Regional.
The freshmen duo of Gabriella Vlattas and Suzanne Dannheim concluded their rookie cross country seasons by finishing in 88th and 108th place, respectively. Vlattas finished in 22:24, followed by Dannheim in 22:44.
Sophomore Madison Yerke rounded out GW's lineup by finishing just two seconds behind Dannheim in 22:46 (112th).
