GW Women's Cross Country Runs at NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional

PRINCETON, N.J. - The George Washington women's cross country team concluded its 2015 season with a 16th-place finish out of 30 competing teams at Friday's NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional at the West Windsor Fields.

It marks the second-best team performance at the Mid-Atlantic Regional race in program history behind a 15th-place finish in 1995.

The Colonials, who accumulated 406 points, were led by junior Macaulay Porter. She navigated the 6,000-meter course in 22:14.70 to claim 56th place out of 200 competitors.

GW's Atlantic 10 All-Conference performers, junior Ariana North and sophomore Miranda DiBiasio, were next across the finish line for the Colonials. North finished in 22:29.70 for 62nd place while DiBiasio followed shortly thereafter in 22:35.30 for 65th place.

GW's scoring lineup was rounded out by the freshmen duo of Madison Yerke (22:11.30, 97th) and Halley Brown (24:04.70, 126th). The rest of the Colonials' lineup included freshmen Rachael Hughen (24:04.70, 141st) and Kelli Stetson (24:31.50, 158th).
