GW Women's Track Set for Patriot Games

WASHINGTON - The George Washington women's track team returns to action in seven events at Saturday's Patriot Games at the George Mason University Field House in Fairfax, Virginia.

GW finished in sixth place out of 24 teams at last weekend's Collegeville Indoor Classic, the first-ever, full-squad meet in program history.

The Colonials recorded three top finishes on the day, with graduate student Hannah Rowe leading the way with a win in the one-mile run and anchoring GW's winning distance medley relay squad.

Rowe recorded a time of 5:10.93 in the mile before anchoring GW's time of 12:39.35 in the DMR. Also competing in the DMR lineup were sophomores Katie Bishop, Caroline Wolfe and Macaulay Porter.

Freshman Miranda DiBiasio also recorded a first-place finish, defeating a field of 35 competitors in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 10:28.84.

The Patriot Games features a field of 33 teams including four of GW's rivals from the Atlantic 10 in George Mason, La Salle, Richmond and VCU.
