Rowe Earns All-Conference as GW Indoor Track Competes at A-10 Championship

KINGSTON, R.I. - Graduate student Hannah Rowe became GW's first-ever All-Conference performer for indoor track after finishing in sixth place in the 5,000-meter run on day one of the Atlantic 10 Indoor Track & Field Championships at Mackal Field house.

Rowe posted her best 5,000m time of the season, finishing in 17:08.70, to claim sixth place out of 29 competitors.

On the men's side, freshman Carter Day finished in ninth place out of 20 competitors in the 1,000 meters preliminaries. He finished with a time of 2:32.00 in his first 1,000m race of the season.

The Atlantic 10 Championships continue on Sunday. GW student-athletes will be competing in the men's and women's mile, the men's and women's 3,000 meters and the men's 4x800 meter relay.
