GW Track Opens Outdoor Season at Maryland Invitational

LEADING OFF: George Washington's men's and women's track teams will make their respective outdoor season debuts at this Saturday's Maryland Invitational at Kehoe Track in College Park, Maryland.

EVENTS: Both teams will participate in a healthy balance of sprints, middle and distance events. GW is scheduled to run in the 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m and 3000m on Saturday.

SUCCESS INDOORS: Both the men's and women's teams are coming off a very successful indoor season that saw the teams combine for 15 new program records. Sophomore Miranda DiBiasio earned her first career Atlantic 10 Indoor Track All-Conference award in the 5000m when she placed fourth out of 29 competitors in 17:23.08.

A LOOK BACK: In each team's first full season as an outdoor track program, both the men and women combined for a trio of Atlantic 10 Outdoor Track All-Conference honors.

The women's team produced a pair of All-Conference selections in Ariana North (3000m Steeplechase) and DiBiasio (5000m). The men saw John-Louis Pane earn All-Conference recognition in the 3000m steeplechase.
