Men's and Women's GW Track to Run at Maryland Invite

WASHINGTON - George Washington's men's and women's outdoor track teams will compete at Saturday's Maryland Invitational at the Kehoe Track Facility in College Park, Maryland.

GW made its outdoor track debut at last weekend's VCU Ram Invitational in Richmond, Virginia.

On the men's side, the Colonials recorded four top-10 finishes across the 1,500 meters and 800 meters. Junior Ryan Tucker finished second overall in the 1500m in 4:00.09, followed by freshman Carter Day in third place in 4:00.23. Freshman Chris Shaffer finished in seventh place in 4:06.97.

Also recording a top-10 finish for GW was freshman Luke Dublirer in the 800m (5th, 1:59.69).

On the women's side, sophomore Ariana North finished in seventh place out of 29 competitors in the 1500m (4:56.90) while freshman Miranda DiBiasio followed in 11th place (5:01.66).

The men's team is scheduled to compete in five events on Saturday while the women's team is slated to run in six races.
