NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - George Washington women's outdoor track sophomore Miranda DiBiasio added another accolade to her impressive 2015-16 campaign when she was named to the Atlantic 10 Outdoor Track & Field Academic All-Conference Team, the league office announced on Wednesday.

A native of Berea, Ohio, DiBiasio was crowned the Atlantic 10 Champion in the 10,000-meter run at the Atlantic 10 Outdoor Track & Field Championships on May 7 in a program-record time of 35:07.64.

In addition to her 10000m record, DiBiasio also owns GW's outdoor 5,000-meter run record of 16:56.02, set at the Penn Relays in April.

It has been a banner year for DiBiasio. She was also named Atlantic 10 All-Conference for both cross country and indoor track (5000m).

In the classroom, DiBiasio has a 3.63 cumulative grade-point average as an Exercise Science major. She tallied a perfect 4.0 GPA for the Spring 2015 semester and is also a three-time selection to both the GW Athletics Academic Dean’s List and the Atlantic 10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
