Aug. 8, 2017

WASHINGTON - George Washington cross country and track head coach Terry Weir has announced that 12 student-athletes will be joining both the men's and women's teams this fall for the 2017-18 season. The recruiting class includes seven women and five men.

"We are excited about our incoming class of 2021," said Weir. "We have added to areas in both of our men's and women's programs where we needed more depth. And in terms of talent - it is our deepest class yet and I believe everyone that we brought in this year's class will contribute immediately. I'm very excited to see what our cross country and track teams will accomplish in the near future."

"On the women's side we've added student-athletes that have the range to compete both in the middle distances and distance events," said Weir. "We are really excited to see how this group develops over the next few years."
