WASHINGTON - The George Washington women's cross country team will compete for the first time in three weeks at Saturday's George Mason Invitational at Oatlands Plantation in Leesburg, Virginia.

The 6,000-meter race commences at 10 a.m. and will feature competitors from George Mason, American, UNC-Wilmington, VMI, Southern Maryland and Richard Bland.

The Colonials last competed at the George Mason Invitational in 2013, finishing in third place out of seven schools.

Freshman Miranda DiBiasio has paced the Colonials through the season's first two races. She finished in fourth place at the season-opening Seahawk Invitational on Sept. 9, leading the Colonials to a first-place team finish. She followed that performance by finishing in 21st place at the Salty Dog Invitational on Sept. 13, helping GW to fifth place out of 11 teams.

Sophomore Macaulay Porter has also been strong for the Colonials, opening her season with a fifth-place finish at the Seahawk Invitational before finishing in 21st place at the Salty Dog Invitational.
