NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - George Washington women's cross country junior Macaulay Porter has been named the Atlantic 10 Co-Performer of the Week after posting the fastest 6,000-meter time in the A-10 at Friday's Paul Short Invitational.

Porter is the second GW harrier to earn Performer of the Week honors this season, joining teammate Miranda DiBiasio.

Porter's 6K time of 21:57 marks the fastest by an A-10 harrier at that distance this season. She finished in 88th place out of 312 competitors to help the Colonials to a 13th-place finish out of 35 teams at the Paul Short Invitational.

The Santa Monica, California, native's time was also a new personal record in the 6K, besting her previous mark by 42 seconds.

Porter shares the award with Saint Louis' Isabel Leibfried.

The Colonials return to action with their final race ahead of the Atlantic 10 Championship (Oct. 31) when they compete at the Princeton Invitational in Princeton, New Jersey, on Oct. 17.
