GW Women's Cross Country Back in Action at Princeton Invitational

WASHINGTON - The George Washington women's cross country team returns to action for the first time since Oct. 4 at this Saturday's Princeton Invitational at West Windsor Field in Princeton, New Jersey.

The 6,000-meter race commences at 11:15 a.m. and will feature more than 50 collegiate teams from around the country, including American, Bucknell, Fordham, George Mason, Harvard, La Salle, Maryland, Penn, Richmond, Rutgers, Villanova and Virginia Tech.

The Colonials have finished among the top five in all three meets this season including a second-place showing at the George Mason Invitational on Oct. 4.

Both sophomore Macaulay Porter and freshman Miranda DiBiasio have registered a pair of top-five finishes this season.

Porter finished in fifth place at the season-opening Seahawk Invitational before turning in a fourth-place showing at the Mason Invitational.

DiBiasio has been a reliable scorer for the Colonials in her debut season, finishing in fourth place at the Seahawk Invitational and fifth place at the Mason Invitational.

As a team, GW has registered seven top-five finishes among its 13 harriers this season.

The Colonials will next compete at the Atlantic 10 Championship at Schenley Park in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on Nov. 1.
