GW Women's Cross Country Set for Atlantic 10 Championship

WASHINGTON - The George Washington women's cross country team returns to action on Saturday at the Atlantic 10 Championship, hosted by Duquesne University at Schenley Park in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

The 5,000-meter championship race is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m., and will feature a pair of regionally ranked teams in the 14-team field.

Defending A-10 champion Duquense is currently ranked No. 8 in the latest United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Mid-Atlantic Regional Poll and La Salle is ranked No. 7.

The Colonials have registered three top-five team finishes this season including a win at the season-opening Seahawk Invitational on September 6.

Sophomore Macaulay Porter has a pair of top-five finishes this season to lead GW while the team has combined for seven top-five finishes across four races this season.

Freshman Miranda DiBiasio has impressed in her debut season at GW, notching a pair of top-five finishes highlighted by a fourth-place showing at the Seahawk Invitational.

Freshman Lauren t'Kint de Roodenbeke has also had a strong freshman campaign with a pair of top-10 finishes.

The last time the A-10 championship was contested at Schenley Park, Megan Hogan captured her second consecutive individual title in a then-championship record time of 16:56
